This page is for the pictures and videos I shot whilst operating a “Cherry Picker” (MEWP) (Scissor Lift) (Platform Lift), at Old Oak Common Rail Depot after the closure of the depot and during the demolition of the old Rail Track sheds, to mark way for the new HS2 project. The pictures and videos were filmed on my iPhone 3S / iPhone 4S (Not sure which now) back in 2014. I have embed the below videos which I shot at Old Oka Common from my 2D YouTube channel called Anthony Matabaro – A Variety Channel, were you will find many other videos on a wide range of things as the name of the channel would suggests 😉
For those who are really interested in the history of the Old Oka Common rail site and would like further information, I have found an excellent online PDF document called “Old Oak Common Worksites Archaeological Detailed Desk Based Assessment” it is hosted on the Crossrail Learning Legacy. It has some great old maps, layouts and images etc. The numbers that are used in my videos are in relation to this document. If the main line above is unavoidable you can download it from here as well.
