The DXG-5F9V combines 3D and 2D shooting in 1080p (30fps) or 720p (60fps) resolutions, all of which is displayed on its inbuilt 3.2″ inc combined all in one 3D / 2D screen that allows you to watch in 3D without the need for 3D glasses.
The DXG-5F9V comes fully equipped with 2x CMOS sensors with 5MPx. When using the DXG-5F9V as an action camera, it is advisable to use the 720p resolution at 60 FPS, which gives a much smother and more GoPo like affect and quality to the video images.
You will also need to purchase an SD card to record the videos on to. The DXG-5F9V will happily support an SD card up to 32 GB in size. A class 10 SD card with a fast transfer rate would be best suited for this type of application where the video file size is large and the format requires a fast bit rate.
The good news is that one of the many features the DXG-5F9V camcorder has, is that it comes fully loaded with a built-in flash memory of 128 MB for you to recorded a few short test videos to, or you can use the DXG- 5F9V’s 128 MB as a handy USB flash drive since it is very easy to connect the camera to a Windows PC or Apple Mac.
The DXG-5F9V is now only available as a used item on eBay or Amazon etc, but can still be purchased for a very reasonable price that won’t break the bank. 
The DXG-5F9V records in the side by side (SBS) format, which as the name suggests is a format in which the 3D image is composted together side by side. The left half of the image is sent to the left eye and the right image is sent to the right eye. This means you do not need to use the Red,Crayon 3D glasses. The DXG-5F9VK is a light weight, compact, portable 3D digital camcorder that is still one of the best and most affordable 3D cameras on the market today and although it has been around for some time as a pioneer of the first generation of modern affordable 3D cameras, it still out preforms most other 3D cameras on the market and is way more affordable them meany other 3D cameras full stop.
With regards to what you get for the money it is a very good deal, essentially you get most of the features of a professional 3D camera combined with a very good 2D camcorder as well. This means you can use the DXG-5F9VK as your main digital video camera as well as your 3D camera without having to carry around to separate devices. Yes their are new slight better cameras out their, but you will have to pay a lot more for them and what get for the extra expenditure in most cases is real not worth it for most people.
Until newer device become more readily available and cheaper, the DXG-5F9VK will most likely be most peoples first choice for a 3D digital camcorder for long time to come, well done DXG.
