The Aiptek 3D HD camcorder can record 3D or 2D videos and still images in HD at 720p 30 FPS resolution. The Aiptek 3D i2 has two lenses each one with it’s own CMOS sensors, therefore the Aiptek 3D i2 can record in true stereoscopic 3D. All of which is displayed on its inbuilt 2.4” inc combined all in one 3D / 2D screen. The screen is a 2.4in parallax-barrier LCD panel which allows you to view your 3D videos directly on the device without the need for 3D glasses. This is certainly one of the Aiptek 3D i2’s USPs (unique selling points) as it provides a compelling illusion of depth which is both bright and clear, even in direct sunlight. As for the still images, the Aiptek 3D i2 JPEG compression has a resolution of 1,296 x 1,444, stretched to a 4:3 aspect ratio, the quality of which is on a par with reasonable phone camera.
You will also need to purchase an SD card to record the videos on to. The Aiptek 3D i2 will happily support an SD card up to 32 GB in size. A class 10 SD card with a fast transfer rate would be best suited for this type of application where the video file size is large and the format requires a fast bit rate.
The good news is that one of the many features the Aiptek 3D i2 camcorder has, is that it comes fully loaded with a built-in flash memory for you to recorded a short test videos to. Aiptek 3D i2 it is very easy to connect the Aiptek 3D i2 to a Windows PC or Apple Mac.
The DXG-5F9V is now only available as a used item on eBay or Amazon etc, but can still be purchased for a very reasonable price that won’t break the bank. 
The Aiptek 3D i2 records in the side by side (SBS) format, which as the name suggests is a format in which the 3D image is composted together side by side. The left half of the image is sent to the left eye and the right image is sent to the right eye. This means you do not need to use the Red,Crayon 3D glasses. Below are a few 3D videos I short using the Aiptek 3D i2, they are in SBS format and should be watched on a 3D compatible monitor / TV or ideally through a 3D / VR headset, such as Google Cardboard, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive or Microsoft Mixed Reality headsets for best results.

Summary And Conclusion :
The Aiptek 3D i2 is a light weight, compact, portable 3D digital camcorder that is still one of the best and most affordable 3D cameras on the market today and although it has been around for some time as a pioneer of the first generation of modern affordable 3D cameras, it still out preforms most other 3D cameras on the market and is way more affordable them meany other 3D cameras full stop.
With regards to what you get for the money it is a very good deal, essentially you get most of the features of a professional 3D camera combined with a very good 2D camcorder as well. This means you can use the Aiptek 3D i2 as your main digital video camera as well as your 3D camera without having to carry around to separate devices. Yes their are new slight better cameras out their, but you will have to pay a lot more for them and what get for the extra expenditure in most cases is real not worth it for most people.
Until newer device become more readily available and cheaper, the Aiptek 3D i2 will most likely be most peoples first choice for a 3D digital camcorder for long time to come, well done Aiptek.
