— THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS – PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH ME – THANK YOU —
Hi All and Welcome,
In this post we will examine what I consider to be over 100 of the best female characters ever, possibly of all time !!!
These awesome female characters come from all media and all genres, from comic books, cartoons, video games to classical litterateur and SCI-FI Hollywood blockbusters and alike. In this post we will examine the good the bad and the ambivalent. Please note that this is MY LIST of the best female characters, that is to say characters which I have come to know and love form books and TV series that I have watched, please note I have never watched Game Of Thrones, nor am I ever likely too, the same goes for a number of other TV series and moves, and that goes double for Disney !! Looking at you Liam Gallacher (You know who you are) !!
NB : Their may be some characters that are not included in this list such as Queen Elizabeth I (The First) for example, this is due to the fact that Queen Elizabeth I was a real life historical figure, while yes their are many books and films about her life and a number of different actress have portrayed her over the years, they remain none the less portrayals of a real life person and not a fictitious character. I have written this note as a number of people are likely to ask why characters from TV series like The Crown or other shows about famous real life women are not included.
My Criteria :
To be a top ranking female character on this list the character should have a well developed backstory and / or exhibit certain quality’s such as bravery, courage, intelligence, good problem solving ability’s have believable emotions and responses and not be a bad stereotype or trope (So they should be well written), they should also be well acted and the character should connect or resonate with the audience in some meaningful way.
